First Lady Oluremi Tinubu hints at becoming a farmer as she shows off her vegetable garden

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed her intention to take up farming, a revelation she made during the public presentation of her vegetable garden.

The garden boasts a variety of vegetables, including waterleaf, bitter leaf, lemongrass, okra, and more.

The First Lady views this private garden as a valuable addition to the State House, offering significant health benefits.

She encourages all Nigerians to embrace farming, asserting that it is an activity within everyone's reach.

In her words:

“I’m trying to be a farmer because we need food in Nigeria. Everybody should try and grow something. I didn’t know what I could add to the State House and I thought a private vegetable garden would be nice, as it has very good health benefits. We have okra, ewedu which is very medicinal, water leaf, and also bitter leaf. All of these are just things that have good health benefits. So, for me, this is my contribution to the food drive. And I believe everybody can do it.

I’m appealing to Nigerians; you don’t want me to win the N25 million. So, get to work and grow something in your house. You can grow anything in a bucket. It’s called smart farming. Just grow something.”
