The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has doused the fire that erupted at Bogobiri House, 9 Maitama Sule Street, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The incident happened at about 20:06 hours on Saturday and was brought to the attention of the public by a former TV reality star, Kimoprah.
"Please, we need the attention of the Lagos fire service right now. Bobogiri is burning. Help," she shared on X.
Reacting,, the Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, said the incident affected a storey building.
"The one storey building used as hotel has its upper floor caught fire before the intervention of the Dolphin and Ebute Elefun Fire Crews of the Agency that quelled the Fire after confined it to the floor it emanated while saving the other sections of the structure and adjoining property.
"The operation has wrapped up without any record of victim as the investigation into the course has began in earnest," Adeseye said.
Confirming the effort of the firefighters, Kimoprah shared on X, "Thank you Lagos Fire Service for the swift response, the situation is under control now … my heartfelt condolences to everyone affected by this."
