The Federal Government has declared Friday June 12 as public holiday in celebration of Democracy Day.

This was announced on behalf of the Federal Government by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Georgina Eruriah, Aregbesola commended Nigerians for ensuring democracy retains a foothold in the country.

The Minister also assured “Nigerians of the Federal Government’s commitment to battling the scourge of COVID-19 with the cooperation of all Nigerians”.
