Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has mourned the death of 17 innocent Nigerians.
These innocent folk consisting of women and children were killed when a Nigerian Airforce jet "accidentally" dropped bombs on Sakotoku village, Damboa LGA, Borno state yesterday.
Reacting to the incident, the Minister who served as a Special Assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo expressed immense condemnation of the event
Mourning the victims, he said: "Some of those killed were children playing under a mango tree. This is outrageous & unacceptable."
Demanding a probe into the matter, he clamoured for the International Criminal Court to look into the matter and get justice for the citizens
..I call on the ICC at the Hague to investigate this war crime &crime against humanity & to bring all those involved to justice. Whilst the Chadian Army is crushing Boko Haram & occupying Nigerian territory our Armed Forces are busy murdering innocent & defenceless civilians.
