The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has said failed politicians are the ones behind the coalition of opposition leaders against President Bola Tinubu.

Recall that a conference was held recently on strengthening democracy in Africa, where factors mitigating against democracy in the continent were discussed.

Present at the event included former vice president Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna governor Nasir El-rufai, former presidential candidate Peter Obi and former minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi.

At the event, shots were fired at the administration of President Tinubu as the opposition sought unity to unseat the All Progressives Congress-led government.

Reacting, Sani stated that the opposition is made up of leaders who were in power two years ago but with nothing to show for it.

He told TVC, “Most of these politicians that came out and say they are coming as coalition, they are politicians that were in government only less than two years ago. What did they do when they were in government? They were only fighting for power, not because they could do anything better.

“No president in the history of Nigeria has really practised democracy like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

On why he supports Tinubu's administration, Sani said, “No president in the history of Nigeria has really practised democracy like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

This was as he advised the opposition to work very hard if they have plans to unseat the President in 2027.

"Any politician who feels he is popular or he can defeat Tinubu or the APC I think they need to go and work very hard and present themselves in 2027," he said.
