Residents of Enugu state stormed the streets to protest against the sit-at-home order as directed by Finland-based Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa.
Expressing their displeasure at the effect of the sit-at-home, the residents vowed to resist the sit-at-home order in the South East.
This directive was given by Simon Ekpa following the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. This has since prevented the residents from going about their daily hustle.
According to Ekpa, this move he claimed is to force the federal government to released the proscribed group leader, Nnamdi Kanu from custody following his arrest about two years ago.
As a result of the sit-at-home, many have been left confined at home for fear of been attacked by members of the IPOB who are known to deal with residents who flout this directive.
Those spotted on the streets have been filmed beaten, and traders goods destroyed.
This has left many displeased with many taking to the streets to protest against the sit-at-home order. The resident of Enugu state were seen holding a banner which said 'Enough is Enough', 'No more sit-at-home in Enugu'.
According to them, this have left them broke and hungry and others having their goods left to rot.
