Bisola Kola-Daisi, the first child of the late Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is dead according to several reports.

The family confirmed her shock demise on Thursday, March 27 saying she succumbed to a brief illness while in the United Kingdom. She was 42 years old.

Kola Dasisi, her husband in a social media post said "The world lost a shining star" adding "Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in everything. Her spirit will live on in our children.”

Bisola served as a special adviser to Atiku Bagudu, Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Planning before her untimely death.

Former Senator Teslim Folarin confirmed the incident.

He wrote on Facebook: “I am deeply saddened to receive the news of the passing of Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi (Nee Ajimobi), the beloved daughter of my cousin, the late Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, and former First Lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency (Dr.) Florence Ajimobi. Bisola’s untimely death has left an unfillable void in our hearts, and I can only imagine the pain of a parent burying their child.

“As someone who had the privilege of knowing Bisola as a dear family member – she was like a daughter to me – her passing has left me with a profound sense of personal loss.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Ajimobi family, particularly former First Lady, H.E Florence Ajimobi. May God grant us the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

May Bisola’s soul rest in perfect peace.”

Before her death, she gained fame in Nigeria’s luxury retail scene. She was a dedicated philanthropist and was not just known for her family legacy but also for her significant contributions to the business world.

As the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a leading FMCG retail and wholesale chain established in 1984, and the founder of the prestigious Florence H. Luxury boutique, she carved out a name for herself in an industry often dominated by men.

Married to the well-respected Ibadan-born politician and bank executive Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Bisola was a devoted mother to three children.
