The former governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-rufai, has fired shots at those who praised him while they were seeking his support for the Tinubu presidency before the 2023 presidential election.
Recall that El-rufai has recently been expressing displeasure with President Bola Tinubu's administration and also with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
His recent comments were slammed by the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Communications, Daniel Bwala, who stated that the former governor is working against the administration he helped put together.
However, some supporters of the Tinubu administration have been denying El-rufai's effort towards Tinubu's 2023 presidential election victory.
The same supporters were on social media in 2023 celebrating the former governor while he was working to ensure Tinubu won the election.
This was evident when an X user, @realYusufTukur, shared screenshots of their praises of the former governor.
He said, "When they were desperately seeking @elrufai’s support, @officialABAT & his goons were all over the place singing Mallam’s praises. Given their penchant for ingratitude, they’ve turned around to claim that Mallam didn’t even support PBAT. But these testimonies say otherwise."
Reacting, El-rufai said their conscience won't let them sleep well.
He shared on X, "We did what we did for God, Country and Party, expecting nothing in return. What is unfolding is merely another life experience, @realYusufTukur, and part and parcel of human nature. We have got over it and moved on, but their conscience won’t let them sleep well. Thanks anyway."
