Governor Godwin Obaseki has reportedly won his polling unit for his candidate Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ongoing governorship election.

Ighodalo defeated Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Barrister Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party in the pursuit to be the next governor of the state.

PDP: 127

All Progressives Congress (APC): 35

Labour Party (LP): 11

Ighodalo also won in Akpata’s polling unit. Scoring 41 votes to emerge victorious as compared to the Labour Party’s 35 votes.
