Prophet Ebuka Obi of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has accused the woman who claimed to have purchased a house worth N500 million of lying before God.
The woman had made the claim while delivering a testimony before Obi and his congregation as seen in a viral video.
However, the woman was later caught on camera doing petty trading, an occupation far from what a mansion owner would be seen doing.
This made many Nigerians to conclude that the testimony was staged to boost the image of Obi's church.
Reacting, Obi shared a video in which he distanced himself from the woman and denied having any personal connection with her.
He further stated that, like many others, she simply came forward to share what was presumed to be a personal testimony.
He said, “I said it last month that my name would be all over the media. I said the media would be shaking, making it look real, but it’s all fake.
“I heard from clergymen in the East that bloggers were sponsored. Now, do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily.
"If the house she claimed to own is fake, then it is her who lied before God and His altar — not the ministry.”
