Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has criticized Nigeria's Wilfred Ndidi for Alejandro Garnacho's goal against Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday, March 16.
Manchester United defeated Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium, with goals from Rasmus Højlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Bruno Fernandes.
In a post-match reaction, former England international Hargreaves stated that Ndidi could have done more to prevent Alejandro Garnacho's second goal by reacting faster.
“He just toepokes it straight to Alejandro Garnacho. Look at all the bodies they have back there, and Ndidi is probably right in front of him.
“All he’s going to do is go straight into him. One thing I would say to Garnacho is, credit to him—he hit it early.”
Ndidi is set to travel to Kigali for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda on Friday, March 21.
