EPL: Iwobi hits new milestone with goal, assist against Liverpool

Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi became the first Nigerian international to register over 30 goals and more than 30 assists in the Premier League after Fulham's stunning victory over Liverpool.

The Super Eagles star was instrumental, contributing a goal and an assist as Marco Silva's side defeated the Reds at Craven Cottage on Sunday, April 6.

Iwobi scored in the 32nd minute to give Fulham a 2-1 lead after Ryan Sessegnon had canceled out Alexis Mac Allister's 13th-minute strike.

The former Arsenal man later set up Rodrigo Muniz for Fulham's third goal of the game five minutes later.

Luis Díaz later reduced the deficit to a single goal, but Marco Silva's side held on for a crucial victory against the runaway league leaders.

Iwobi was substituted in the 82nd minute as Fulham climbed to eighth position in the Premier League standings.

The Nigerian international began his senior career with Arsenal before moving to Everton, and now plays for Fulham.
