Dino Melaye highlights Nigeria's superiority over Ghana in education, economy, Jollof rice, others

In a light-hearted exchange that has since gone viral, Senator Dino Melaye was seen championing Nigeria's accomplishments over Ghana's while on a trip in Dubai.

Accompanied by his Ghanaian friend, actor and politician Fredrick Nuamah, the two engaged in friendly banter that showcased national pride.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Kogi state, humorously compared the two nations, equating Ghana to a Toyota Camry and Nigeria to a Lamborghini, suggesting a vast difference in stature and achievements.

He elaborated on Nigeria's larger population, more robust economy, and richer landscape, not forgetting to mention the hotly contested superiority of Nigerian Jollof rice.

The playful debate escalated when Nuamah retorted with a quip about a "Lamborghini without fuel," to which Melaye jovially replied that the value remains unchanged, prompting laughter from both.

Melaye continued, "Be it landmarks, economy, population, or education, Nigeria leads. And to settle all debates, we boast the best jollof rice," further fueling the friendly rivalry.

The longstanding competition between Nigeria and Ghana, often extending to various fields of achievement, was once again brought to the fore by this exchange.

Social media users have since reacted to the video, contributing their own opinions to the ongoing debate.

flowernice123: Dino you try on this one, You place your country before politics, afterall Nigeria is still your country

donprettychiamaka: Facts tho, only that our government is worse than theirs. We have the bigger population and the talents, but without a good government structure we are unfortunately backwards.
