Dennis receives plaudits after Blackburn debut against Wolves

Blackburn Rovers manager, John Eustace has hailed Emmanuel Dennis for his decent performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers on his debut.

The 27-year-old was in action against Wolves in the Emirates FA Cup at Ewood Park on Sunday, February 9.

Despite being on the sidelines for over six months, the former Watford man was surprisingly named in the starting lineup.

The Super Eagles striker was in action for 66 minutes before he was replaced by Andreas Weimann.

Dennis registered three shots, two key passes and completed two dribbles.

“I thought Emmanuel showed glimpses of what a good player he can be. Augustus (Kargbo) was really good, really exciting,” Eustace told Rovers TV.

Dennis joined Blackburn on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
