Suspected cultists have reportedly shot dead, a young man in the Abbi community, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.

The deceased said to be in his 20s, was shot on New Year’s Eve at a beer parlour in the community.

Sources said the young man was having fun with his friends Tuesday night when suspected cultists stormed the area and shot him.

A source who sought anonymity said cultists have been terrorising the area in the last few months.

He called on security agencies to intervene and curtail the incessant attacks on residents by cultists.

Confirming the incident yesterday, Police Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Mr Bright Edafe, said four suspects have been arrested and in custody.
