Napoli boss Antonio Conte left Victor Osimhen out of another preseason friendly against Egnatia on Sunday, July 28.

This marks the third consecutive game that the 25-year-old striker has been omitted from Napoli's preseason squad by the Italian coach.

Osimhen is expected to leave the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium this summer, despite having extended his contract with the club last December.

Although he has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain for a potential move, negotiations between the two clubs have recently stalled.

Conte, the club's new head coach, is looking to replace the Nigerian international with Romelu Lukaku.

In a recent update on Osimhen, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano provided some insights into the current situation:

“Osimhen wants to leave, Napoli want to bring in Lukaku.

“Talks with PSG have been on hold since Monday under the current conditions.

“Chelsea are interested in Osimhen but are not willing to pay the release clause.”
