Chelsea's talisman Cole Palmer has named Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk as the most challenging opponent he has come up against.

The England international has been in brilliant form since joining the Blues from Manchester City in the summer of 2023.

The 22-year-old registered 27 goals and 15 assists in 48 appearances for Chelsea in his debut season, finding the back of the net against top EPL clubs, including Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United.

Palmer's incredible campaign earned him the Blues Player of the Season and the PFA Young Player of the Season awards.

Palmer has picked up from where he left of last season scoring seven goals and registering five assists in nine Premier League games this season.
