Online users are enjoying amusing videos of well-known people showing up at Afrobeats singer Davido and his longtime fiancée Chioma's wedding in Lagos.

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi one of the greatest rulers in the Yoruba land, was seen on camera as soon as he arrived at the 'wedding of the year'.

As the Ooni walked amid chants from his praise singers, attendees rose to show reverence, as captured in an Instagram video shared by @Billie_Adeleke.

In addition to Ooni of Ife, who arrived at the wedding in style, Baba Iyabo, Nigeria's former president Olusegun Obasanjo, was also seen at the event.

The former president was seen entering the hall in a widely shared video.

A private jet also brought businessman Obi Cubana and comedian Layi Wasabi to the Lagos wedding location. Cubana called Davido and Chioma's wedding the event of the decade as he posted videos of the ceremony on his Instagram feed.

He wrote: "Today the world will stay glued to their phones/device to watch the wedding of the decade."
