Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad recently took to social media page to taunt the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for allegedly "sleeping" during a courtesy visit to a monarch in Nasarawa state.

On Saturday, October 29, Peter Obi stormed the state to begin his campaign after suspending it to sympathise with the flood victims across the country.

Sharing a photo of Peter Obi seated in the monarch's palace with his eyes closed, Bashir claimed that it was unacceptable for the former Anamabra state Governor to take a nap while paying homage to a monarch.

Taking to his Twitter page, Bashir wrote;

"The guy beside the LP presidential candidate should please tap his shoulder to wake him up, it is against the culture and protocol to take a long nap while paying homage to a respected traditional leader down here."

However, some Obidients have rebuked him by sharing a video of Peter Obi interacting with people as compared to the claim that he was asleep.
