Boniface, Lookman, Simon to lead attack as Eguavoen names strong lineup against Libya

Nigeria's interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen has named a strong starting eleven against Libya in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Eguavoen changed his formation and personnel from the two previous qualifier matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The Super Eagles have been set up in a 4-3-3 system as they take on the Mediterranean Knights at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali maintains his spot in post ahead of Udinese's Maduka Okoye.

Skipper William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi will make up the back four in defense.

Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, and Alex Iwobi will operate in central midfield area.

Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface will lead the attack and will be flanked by Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon on the wings.

Starting XI: Nwabali, Troost-Ekong, Bassey, Aina, Onyemaechi, Ndidi, Onyeka, Iwobi, Lookman, Simon, Boniface.
