As the presidential candidates of the political parties were gathered together to sign a now-customary peace pact, Flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was absent.
His running mate, Kashim Shettima was present to represent him at the signing.
Other presidential candidates at the event was Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party among others.
Bola Tinubu's absent has brought about mixed reactions from Nigerians.
