The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hope Uzodinma has been declared winner of the Imo State election held on Saturday, November 11.
Announcing the results is the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Returning officer, Abayomi Fasina, at the INEC’s office, in Owerri, on Sunday
It was reported that Uzodinma polled 540,308 votes to beat his contender the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, who came second with 71,503 votes.
Hope Uzodinma who is the incumbent governor of Imo state won the entire 27 local government areas of the state.
