Demola Olarewaju, an aide to former vice president Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Bola Tinubu of nepotism for appointing some of the men who worked with him when he was the governor of Lagos State.
Olarewaju said this shortly after a list surfaced showing the appointees in the administration of President Tinubu.
Many Nigerians have complained that the list is dominated by the Southwest.
However, Olarewaju is of the opinion that the list has too much of Tinubu's men from Lagos.
He said on X, "Buhari’s nepotism was so casual to the point of being laughable and silly.
"When you see certain names from Tinubu’s time as Lagos Gov still around him, understand that his nepotism is deliberately and intentionally to replicate his stranglehold on Lagos, at the centre.
"Buhari is not the standard for nepotism in Nigeria and his supporters should very well keep shut on this issue but let’s be clear:
"Based on sheer scale of crooked intent and ambition, state capture and compromise - nepotism with Tinubu is far more disastrous than with Buhari."
