A photo of Vice President Kassim Shettima, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi in the 2023 general election has generated mixed reactions on social media.
The political stalwarts were among those who attended the funeral prayer for the mother of the late President Umaru Yar’Adua, Hajiya Dada, in Katsina.
In the photo that has gone viral, Peter Obi extended a handshake to Kassim Shettima while Atiku Abubakar, who was seated by the Vice President, looked on.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajuddeen Abbas, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, former Vice President Namadi Sambo, and Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda were in attendance at the event.
Meanwhile, the prayer led by Sheikh Aminu Yammawa was held at the old Katsina Stadium, near the Yar’adua family residence.
The Emirs of Katsina and Daura, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir-Usman and Alhaji Umar Farouk, respectively, also graced the occasion.
Hajiya Dada’s remains were laid to rest at the Danmarna graveyard, alongside her husband, the late Musa Yar’adua, and her son Gen. Shehu Musa-Yar’adua and the former President, Umaru Yar’adua.
She passed away at 102, leaving behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Senator Abdulaziz Musa-Yar’adua.
We all know Obi is humble and holds no grudges

Congrats guys 🎉 🍾
Like u served under Buhari regime and a normal exchange of pleasantries is what u are trying to politicize, the event that brought them together is irrelevant to u, all u care about is the pointless narrative u want to draw, this is so embarrassing

I don't actually know what is running in the mind of Atiku, but he definitely doesn't feel alright
