Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has consoled Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal over the death of his father.
Tambuwal's father, Sheikh Haruna Tambuwal, passed on yesterday at 96 years of age.
The PDP Chieftain prayed for safe passage of the Sokoto State Governor's father.
" I am saddened at the loss of Sheikh Haruna Tambuwal, the father of Gov. @AWTambuwal.May he be a beneficiary of the blessings associated with the blessed Ramadan season. I pray to Allah to forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen," Atiku prayed.

The nonagenarian transited after a brief illness at his residence in Tambuwal Council of Sokoto.
He is survived by children, including the governor, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Being a devout Muslim, he has been buried according to Islamic rites.
