The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has slammed the Governors under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have accused him of being a mole.

Addressing the PDP crisis during an interview on Channels Television Politics Today, on Friday, September 13, 2024, Wike stated that no PDP governor can legitimately call him an outsider.

He emphasised that before accepting his appointment, he had received approval from the PDP at various levels, including his own governor.

Wike challenged anyone in the PDP to come forward on national television and accuse him of being a mole. He expressed frustration with those who try to manipulate others, stating that he is transparent about his intentions and actions.

''There is no governor in PDP, nobody born of a woman who can say I am an outsider... before I took this appointment, I wrote to the PDP national, zonal, and the PDP in my state. My Governor also signed the letter that I should take the appointment. The zonal party wrote that I should accept. Who in PDP did not write names for nominations to President Tinubu for appointment. Let them come out and say they did not do it.

The problem we have in this country is that, some people think they are too smart. They want to use people and I am not that kind of person. What I want to do, I will do. What I will not do, everybody know I won’t do it.

I dare anybody in PDP, come out on national television. I dare any governor, any National Working Committee member to come out on national television to say I am a mole.”

Days after Wike made the statement, daring any party member, no comment has been made by any governor or party member regarding the Minister’s utterance. Many wonder if they are afraid of Wike.
