Renowned Arise TV broadcaster Rufai Oseni has labelled Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim as the worst coach in the club's history.
After coming from behind to record an impressive victory against Southampton last week, courtesy of Amad Diallo's remarkable 12-minute hat-trick, the Red Devils failed to build on that momentum, losing 3-1 at home to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, January 19.
Goals from Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, and Georginio Rutter ensured that Bruno Fernandes’ 23rd-minute spot-kick only counted for a consolation.
Amorim has managed just 11 points in 11 Premier League appearances since taking over the reins of the club in November.
Speaking on the Global Sports Update on the Arise TV Morning Show, Rufai slammed the Portuguese tactician for throwing his players under the bus with his post-match press conference rhetoric.
"Ruben Amorim is the worst Manchester United coach in over 145 years. When he came, he managed a couple of matches. The players were not the worst in history—they fought, right?
"But now that he has lost a game, you see, you lose a player in your press conferences. This was needless; what he said was needless. A leader and a coach should not behave like this."
Manchester United will return to action against Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday, January 23.
