Residents of Abia State are sharing their experiences as they enjoy uninterrupted power supply in their various locations.
Recall that on February 26, 2024, the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti and Vice President Kashim Shettima commissioned the Geometric Power 188 Megawatt thermal plant.
This plant and the Aba Power company will distribute electricity to nine of the 18 local government areas in Abia.
Since the inauguration, some residents have taken to social media to heap praises on Alex Otti for a steady power supply as they now enjoy 24 hours of power.
Many believe this achievement will help revive failed businesses in the state.
Meanwhile, as others are sharing their excitement, some residents have dismissed the 24-hour power supply claim.
According to these residents who live in Aba, they say their areas are yet to experience constant power.
Below are some social media reactions from residents;

Mind you, this is NOT the same allover Aba. Some area don't have light for days yet. According to them, the whole plant have not been switched on yet. And repairs are ongoing to fix some transmission facilities...

“There’s no light in Aba, abia state. They gave us light for only 1 hour throughout the whole day.”
