APC scores Fubara zero after one year in office

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has given Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara a rating of zero for his first year in office.

During a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the APC in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha, criticized Governor Fubara's performance. He labeled his first year as ineffective and accused him of operating the state without an approved budget.

Chief Okocha vehemently denied allegations that he had congratulated Governor Fubara on his one-year anniversary. He stated that it would be inconceivable to do so given that he believes the current government is in a critical state. He described it as being in "ICU."

He further suggested that such claims were designed to tarnish his reputation and portray him as inconsistent.

On the other hand, Governor Fubara insists that his administration is under siege by adversaries intent on disrupting its operations.

Addressing the Standing Committee and the Nigerian Guild of Editors at the Government House, he asserted that these opposition forces are actively trying to undermine his efforts to provide effective governance and quality services to the citizens of Rivers State.
