The 2023 presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Bola Tinubu brought Nigeria to ruin.
He stated that the policies implemented by the APC have worsened the country’s situation, leading to increased hunger and poverty among the citizens.
Additionally, he noted that the APC is struggling to address the nation’s security challenges.
Regarding the Peoples Democratic Party, Kwankwaso mentioned that the party is rapidly losing popularity among the people, while the NNPP is experiencing rapid growth.
He described the PDP as a dead party, due to its internal crisis. Kwankwaso made these remarks at the 7th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the NNPP in Abuja.
Kwankwaso believes that the NNPP is the only party capable of providing true leadership to address the problems facing Nigerians and bring relief to the people.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the NNPP, despite facing challenges.
He said, “Our party has been doing so well that we, at the leadership level, are satisfied with our progress.
“And of course, this success always attracts envy from outside and attacks from within and outside the party. I am so happy that despite all the challenges, today, our party is the fastest-growing party in this country.
“I remember when I visited Katsina State to open our state office, I mentioned that the PDP was dead, and there were many concerns within the PDP fold.
“I’m sure, at that time, many didn’t understand what I was saying, but now they must agree with us that the party is falling apart and is imploding.
