Nigerians all over the world are known for a lot of things and that includes making a global impact and being relevant wherever they find themselves.

During the British king, King Charles III's coronation on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London, four Nigerians played key roles and raised high the flag of the country.

MyNigeria casts the spotlight of these distinguished Nigerians who have also contributed to the United Kingdom

Reverend Tosin Oladipo

Reverend Tosin Oladipo is the Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury. He also serves as the chaplain at Lambeth Palace Chapel and at the community of St Anselm at Lambeth Palace.

He joined the priesthood after a successful career in IT.



Eva Omaghomi

Eva Omaghomi is King Charles’s Director of Community Engagement since when he was still Prince of Wales.

Before that, she worked with him at The Prince’s Trust and Clarence House.

She was originally a civil servant with the Greater London Authority.



Dame Nneka Elizabeth Anionwu

Dame Nneka Elizabeth Anionwu bore the royal insignia into the Abbey sanctuary during King Charles's coronation.

She is a British nurse, health care expert, lecturer and Emeritus Professor of Nursing at the University of West London. She hails from Onitsha.



Pastor Agu Irukwu

Pastor Agu Irukwu was part of the procession of the Head of Churches in the United Kingdom during the king's coronation.

He was one of the few people who witnessed the anointing of the king as the public is not allowed to see it.
