As President Bola Tinubu commemorates his first year in office, opinions on his administration's performance are varied.

Eze Onyekpere, the Lead Director of the Centre for Social Justice, shared his critical perspective in an interview with Channels Television.

He characterized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's first year as less than satisfactory.

Onyekpere pointed out that the removal of the fuel subsidy and the instability of the naira, along with other policy implementations, have not met expectations.

"The past year has been challenging, and we hope for improvements moving forward," he expressed.

He also observed that the economic strain has led to increased hardship, with food inflation driving many Nigerians to protest.

Onyekpere suggested that for the betterment of the nation, President Tinubu should consider restructuring his cabinet to ensure that all ministers are effectively contributing to the country's progress.
