Simon Ekpa, the designated Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) organization and a leader of the Biafra independence movement has reacted to the absence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The president has not been seen in public since he visited the Netherlands and attended a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in April in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Several reports indicate he left for Paris, France on an unannounced trip which multiple sources confirmed was for medical reasons.

“The President is in France to see his doctors,” a source had said.

Ekpa described the president as a "deadman walking" in a post on X on Tuesday, April 7 adding "Otilo!!! When it finally happen, remember i was the first to raise alarm"

The silence of the presidency has generated several reactions among Nigerians and has revived raging debates over concerns and secrecy of the president’s state of health.

An investigation by SaharaReporters had revealed that a Nigerian presidential aircraft, a Gulfstream Aerospace GV-SP (G550) with registration number 5N-FGW and serial number 5310 (Mode-S 0640F2) with Tinubu onboard arrived at Paris Airport-Le Bourget, France around 04:00pm on Thursday from an airport in London.

The Presidency is yet to comment on when Tinubu is expected back in Nigeria.
